Lecture: Gehl Architects

12 Apr 2012 - 19:00

Copenhagen

A livable city is a sustainable city – the current discourse about sustainability is focused on systems and objects rather than people. By taking a people first approach to design, the built environment can foster sustainable behavior by nudging people toward behaviors and habits that not only improve local quality of life today but also promote global sustainability in the future.  Jeff Risom, Head of Gehl Institute, the research and innovation unit of  Gehl Architects will use project examples about how they design places for people that are good for you and for the planet.
